Eleven years after his first solo production 'the highest risk adjusted rates of return' and meanwhile busily working on different collaborations, art-projects, theater
and sound design, Christoph Fügenschuh presents the essence of longstanding studio work on the label Heart of Noise Editions.

How to make stuff out of nothing - The title of the album already portends
the aural incantations the 5 Tracks can be conceived. Unified in spite of
permanent transformation, the pieces depict an alternative to portend
collective cognition. Between the poles of Doom Jazz, Soundscape, Noise
and electroacoustics Fügenschuh calls phonic figments of delicate aesthetics, churlish textures and dainty serial structures. Rigorously composed passages succeed more random gasps of edited improvisation.

> HEART OF NOISE FESTIVAL 2014

Christoph Fügenschuh is a multi instrumentalist and media artist with an
established passion for transforming conventional creative approximations
and procedures. His musical endeavors focus mainly on the reconnaissance
of traditional instruments, everyday sounds and electronic tone generators, conducting the various sound sources into a territory of alien considerations
where they are no longer readily traceable as themselves.

Rather they become means of research for protracted aural analysis and a
synonyme for collective reverie. Swayed by serial music, musique concrète,
microtonality and diverse ancient and ethnic tradititions, Fügenschuh
forges soundscapes that evoke moments of contemplation and reflect panes
of consciousness.

Christoph Fügenschuhs installations infurl in an analogous almost manic
internalisation, consolidation and abstraction, in which he pursuits the
fragmentation, contraction and texturisation of the elements of his
compositions and sonic arrays.
